This is a surface burner switch, or a dual burner infinite switch, made for use with a stovetop range. This part controls the heat on the cooktop. It is located in the front of the range, behind the knobs that control the temperatures. A new dual burner infinite switch might be needed if the elements on the stovetop are not heating, the knob will not turn, or if the elements are not regulating heat correctly.To complete this repair, the user must have access to the front of the range oven and be able to remove the knobs that are connected to the switch.
