This is a spark module kit. The spark plug module on a range is responsible for creating the initial spark required to create a flame at the burner. Each of the burners requires a spark electrode or igniter to spark the gas coming through the valves to create a fire. This part produces a white spark in between the metal edge of the burner and the igniter pin.If this part is not sparking, or if the spark produced is yellow in color or dimmer than usual, the spark module may be going bad.
