Oven Bottom Panel 316400601

This is an oven bottom panel. It is the protective panel between the electrical components underneath the oven and the heating element. It catches food spills that would damage electrical parts. If the bottom panel has rusted, it should be replaced. Occasionally, the bottom panel will need to be replaced due to accidentally melting plastic in the oven. Make sure the oven is cool to touch before beginning. Disconnect the power to the stove. Open the oven door and remove the baking racks from the inside. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom panel to the oven. Lift out the bottom panel and discard it. Insert the new oven bottom and use the screws from the old bottom to secure it in place. Put the racks back inside the oven. Restore the power and check the oven to make sure it is working.This oven bottom panel is made of black metal and sold as an individual unit. It does not come with screws. This oven bottom panel is designed for use with ovens manufactured by Frigidaire, Kenmore, Crosley, and Kelvinator.
