The drum belt is also sometimes called the drive belt, and it is designed to wrap around the drum, motor pulley, and idler pulley. When the motor spins, the belt rotates the drum and helps dry the clothes. When the belt is damaged, stretched, or broken, the motor will run but the drum will not spin and the clothes will not get dry. This is a genuine OEM replacement rubber dryer belt. It is sold individually. Any additional parts or hardware will require an additional purchase. Dryer belts can become brittle and worn over time due to constant friction and high heat. A damaged dryer belt must be replaced and cannot be repaired. Unplug the dryer before working on this part. To access the belt, remove the front cover of the dryer and find the groove in the drum. If the existing belt is broken or damaged, it will likely be loose around the drum or laying on the floor of the unit. Install the new belt around the drum and wind it through the motor and idler pulleys.
