Description

Door Spring 154579101 / AP3958752.

This is a genuine OEM door spring sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in dishwashers. The door spring or pulley spring is located on the dishwasher door to provide the tension necessary to keep it attached to the dishwasher when opened and allow it to go back into place when closed. Placing too much weight on the door can cause the spring to break. Normal wear and tear may also cause it to lose its tension. In both cases, the spring should be replaced. Before working on the dishwasher, disconnect the power and water source. Pull the dishwasher out from its recess and disconnect the drain hose. Remove the broken spring. Attach the new spring. Reconnect the drain hose and push the machine back into place. Reconnect the power and water source. Test the door. This part is one spring; it is a good idea to replace both springs at the same time. The unbroken spring has been under a heavier load and will most likely break soon. It’s better to do both while the machine is being repaired. This door spring is made of high-quality metal; it is sold as an individual unit. This door spring is designed for use in dishwashers manufactured by Frigidaire, Crosley, and Kenmore.

Genuine Frigidaire part. Frigidaire brands include Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and others. See all items in Dishwasher Spring.
