This is a genuine OEM door boot sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on washing machines. This front load washing machine boot is a seal placed between the washing machine tub and door. Over time, the seal may become stretched out of shape due to overloading the washing machine. If the seal is stretched, water may be able to leak out during operation. The seal may also be damaged if sharp objects are left in clothes pockets. When these objects come out during the wash cycle, they may nick or tear the boot and break the seal. A torn boot should be replaced. Before replacing the door boot, disconnect the power source from the washing machine. A Phillips screwdriver, square bit, and pliers are needed to make this repair. Remove the top cover and control panel to access the door boot. Remove and replace the door boot. Reinstall the control panel and top cover. This door boot seal is made of grey rubber and is sold as an individual unit. This door boot seal is designed for front loading washing machines manufactured by Electrolux and Frigidaire.
