Choose this manufacturer-approved control knob for your electric cooktop. Use this black control knob for a drop-in electric cooktop to replace a damage or missing knob. Unplug the cooktop before beginning to make the repair. While removing the old switch, mark how and where the wire is attached so you can reattach it correctly. Also, before installing the new control knob, inspect the grommet that was under the old knob, the switch gasket and the switch shaft for wear and cracks. Replace any parts that show damage.
