Agitator Kit 285751

This is an OEM replacement agitator cam kit sourced directly from the manufacturer. The agitator kit is used in washing machines to move the agitator during the wash cycle. It is connected to the bottom of the agitator and the agitator top. If the machine is making noise during the wash cycle or does not agitate, the cam’s dogs may be worn and need to be replaced. These are plastic parts that may become worn after years of daily use. A socket wrench and work gloves are required to make this repair. To start, disconnect the power to the washing machine. Open the lid, remove the top cap off the agitator, and then take the dust cap off. Use the socket wrench to take the bolt inside the agitator out. Pull the top and bottom sections of the agitator apart. Take the top part out of the washer and turn it upside down; the cam holding the worn dogs will fall out. Remove the old cams and install the new ones. Return the cam to the agitator and reassemble the washing machine. Reconnect the power.This agitator cam kit contains the cam and four dogs necessary to repair the agitator. It is sold as an individual kit.
